Based on the patient’s condition, if close monitoring or specialized treatment is required, the physician will recommend inpatient admission.

Step 3: Admission Procedures

Patients are then guided to the administrative counter to complete admission procedures. Required documents typically include:

• National ID card / Citizen ID / Passport
• Private health insurance card (required within 24 hours of admission, if applicable)
• Vietnamese public health insurance card (if applying for social insurance medical leave certification)
• Household registration book (photocopy, applicable for maternity patients)
• Other preferential or membership cards (if any)
• Additional medical records as requested by the physician (laboratory test results, diagnostic imaging reports, prescriptions, etc.)

Inpatient Rules & Regulations

To ensure safe and effective treatment during your hospital stay, patients are kindly requested to comply with the following regulations:

• Patients must strictly follow medical orders and care instructions provided by the attending physician and medical staff. If you have any questions regarding your treatment or care plan, please request to speak with your physician or healthcare staff for clarification.
• Patients are required to remain in their assigned room/ward throughout the inpatient treatment period. If leaving the department is necessary, prior approval must be obtained from the attending physician or medical staff. In cases where the patient leaves the hospital premises, a written acknowledgment must be signed and recorded in the medical file in accordance with regulations.
• The nurse call button (if available) should be used only in emergencies, when there is a sudden change in health condition, or when immediate medical assistance is required.
• Patients are responsible for proper care of hospital equipment and room furnishings. Any loss or damage must be compensated in accordance with hospital regulations. If any equipment malfunction is detected, please inform medical staff immediately for prompt handling.
• Please use electricity and water responsibly and ensure all electrical and water appliances are turned off before leaving the room. Cooking devices, laundry equipment, and flammable or explosive items are strictly prohibited in patient rooms.
• Maintain general cleanliness in patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and other common areas. Please keep noise to a minimum, and smoking is strictly prohibited in patient rooms and treatment areas.
• Visitors are not permitted to sit or lie on patient beds. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and no more than three visitors are allowed per visit.
• Please store personal belongings in designated areas. Thien Nhan Hospital provides essential amenities such as drinking water and storage cabinets; therefore, patients are encouraged to limit unnecessary personal items.
• Patients are responsible for settling hospital fees and any additional services incurred in accordance with hospital regulations and applicable laws.
